The Pedal Britain 'Push Start Program'
Once booked you enter our unique 'Push Start' program. Here we provide you with access to a range of services, that based on your needs will help you to enjoy rather than endure your cycling holiday.
Pedal Britain developed our Push Start concept in response to feedback from clients who felt they wanted help and encouragment in the preparation running up to a tour.
Their previous experiences had been of limited support, but as part of our 100% customer focus we want to ensure that when the tour start day arrives, your ready for the challenge.
1 to 1 Phone Call
Everyone that books with Pedal Britain receives a 'Push Start' one to one call with Darren Ball, Founder and Director of Pedal Britain.
The purpose of this is to find out specifically how we can support you in the lead up to the cycling holiday. It might be your comfortable with everything your doing from a training perspective, but keen to be involved on Facebook and come along to the Training Weekend, or maybe you need no help at all.
The point is we'll tailor our support to meet your needs and by having a conversation we can assertain exactly the support you need before your holiday.
Bespoke Training Plans*
Whatever your experience, Barrie Robertson our Cycling Expert can create a bespoke training regime that is based around you and your lifestyle, what we call a 'Real Life' training schedule as opposed to the generic ones you may see online.
These usually fail to take your personal circumstances into account, being unable to keep to a schedule can often without foundation knock confidence. The key is to be flexible and adaptable whilist recognizing the need to be consistent in your training over a period of time.
If you are interested in this service from Barrie and want more information please send us your Name and Contact Details to firstname.lastname@example.org
Facebook LEJOG Community
It can be daunting going on a trip with up to 14 other strangers. So, once you sign up for a cycling holiday we invite all attendees to join a closed Facebook group that is specific to your tour.
Although not everyone is on Facebook, for those that are it's a brilliant way of getting to know other members of the tour, whether its sharing training progress or generally asking questions on preperation, it all helps you get to know each other better.
Cotswold Training Weekend*
A great opportunity to gauge fitness progress, whilst still having enough time to improve areas that need it. Also an ideal chance to meet tour crew, other tour members, and ask any questions face to face.
If you're not able to attend, don't stress it's really just an informal get together. All the details will be posted online and on Facebook soon, with dates likely to be in either early April or late in May.
Friday Evening: Arrive at our Hotel (Evening Meal is included)
Saturday: 75 miles in the Cotswolds which includes a lunch stop
Sunday: A quick 50 mile morning ride before lunch & depart

Pedal Britain Tour App
For those of you that have smart phones, we have teamed up with the people at 'Ride GPS' to create a Pedal Britain Tour APP.
How it works is once you've booked and we confirm you have a compatible smart phone, we'll add you to the relevent tour on the APP. This then triggers an invite to 'Join'.
Once this is accepted it provides you with access to a central Pedal Britain Tour repository for all the information you will need to get you from A to B.
1) Turn by turn GPX files covering each day of your tour that can be downloaded
2) PDF Map & Cue Sheets for those that don't have navigation devices
3) Offline use of Maps when in areas with no network signal
4) Messaging - you can communicate with participants on the tour
5) Our APP turns your mobile into a FREE Sat Nav Device
Once you you accept we'll send out instructions on who to get the best from the APP.
Don't worry we also still send everyone paper versions of route maps, it just means if you have a smart phone everything will be much less hassle.
